He went on to complete his medical degree at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston, SC, followed by an internship in Internal Medicine and an Ophthalmology residency at the University of North Carolina.

For the past ten years, Dr. Hunter has dedicated his practice to helping patients achieve their best vision through cutting-edge cataract surgery techniques. Known for his personal approach, he strives to treat every patient like family while delivering the highest level of care through state-of-the-art technology.

Dr. Hunter is thrilled to be back in the Lowcountry with his wife, Marsha Wedgeworth Hunter—who was born and raised on Hilton Head Island—and their three boys: Preston, Worth, and Grayson. Outside of the operating room, Dr. Hunter and his family enjoy spending time outdoors, especially at the beach or out hunting and fishing.
