Laser Skin Rejuvenation

Laser skin rejuvenation is a non-invasive surgical procedure that softens lines and wrinkles, removes surface imperfections, and tightens and rejuvenates the skin.  The aesthetic treatment is long lasting and more effective than dermabrasion or chemical peels.

How Does Laser Skin Resurfacing Work?

Laser skin resurfacing involves the use of the CO2 laser. The laser works by heating the skin, causing tightening and reduction of wrinkles. During the following weeks, the collagen fibers under the surface of the skin are being regenerated. The collagen in the skin gives skin its integrity and structure. Essentially, the old dry and damaged skin cells and collagen are replaced with new cells and collagen fibers. This results in skin that appears more supple, youthful, and healthy.

Your procedure will be performed in an outpatient setting, with patients heading home directly following their procedure, with the assistance of a driver. Patients are usually given mild sedation from IV medication to make sure that they are totally comfortable. There is usually no need for general anesthesia.

Please plan on being at our office for a few hours for the entire process. You will check in, speak with Malissa LaRoche PA-C prior to your procedure, have the procedure, wake up from anesthesia, and be given aftercare instructions.

You may experience tightening of the skin, as well as redness. This will improve over the next few weeks following your procedure. When leaving your appointment, you will be given a skincare kit that you will apply as directed following the procedure to ensure your skin receives optimal care.

Patients are usually seen 1 week, 6 weeks, and 3 months following their appointment. Please note that this procedure is considered cosmetic and will not be covered by your insurance.
Most of our patients will need to take at least one week off from work to heal from laser skin resurfacing. Every day, the skin will begin to look better and better. After approximately 7 days, you can start using makeup, if wanted, to cover the pinkness of the skin.

In-Office Skin Resurfacing

Laser skin resurfacing is a non-invasive surgical procedure that can help skin appear younger and healthier. The ICON Laser Pulsed Light System is used to reduce fine lines, wrinkles, facial veins, brown spots & more! This allows us to reveal a glowing complexion, silky smooth skin, and more. This is a non-invasive treatment option that transforms you into a younger-looking version of yourself.

How Does it Work?

Pulses of light target unwanted pigment and vessels within your skin. The light delivered causes them to slowly disappear through your body’s natural healing process.

You will see continuing improvement in the skin’s appearance during and after each treatment. Typically, only a few treatments are needed. However, depending on your skin’s condition, several treatments may be required. We will be able to create your treatment plan during your initial, complimentary consultation.

Aesthetic Services: Fillers

The decision to use BOTOX and fillers is completely up to you. Our patients visit us to achieve a youthful, rested appearance that suits their facial structure. We strive to offer you a natural looking alternative to comprehensive facial cosmetic surgery through the use of BOTOX and fillers to help you achieve your goals.

We offer a wide range of aesthetic products to address a variety of skin and aging concerns. Your provider will work with you to determine the areas you wish to treat and review your options for helping you achieve your goals.

Belotero Balance

Belotero Balance is a prescription injection that can help smooth moderate to severe wrinkles around the mouth. The filler quickly and evenly reduces wrinkles while retaining natural-looking skin. Results can be seen immediately and can last 6 months or more.

Botox cosmetic injections can reduce the appearance of fine lines around the eyes and across the forehead. The treatment relaxes facial muscles without affecting normal facial expressions. The procedure is quick and painless (you might feel a quick pinch). Patients typically notice improvement within 24–48 hours and results can last up to 4 months.

Juvéderm fillers use modified hyaluronic acid (HA) to enhance the volume of your skin, including your cheeks, lips, and chin. The Juvéderm collection offers unique products for smoothing wrinkles, contouring your cheeks, and adding lip volume.

Kybella is the first and only FDA-approved injectable treatment for improving the appearance of a “double chin.” Kybella destroys the fat cells that cause sagging under your chin, improving your profile without surgery.

The in-office treatment typically takes 15–20 minutes. Patients can receive up to 6 treatments, spaced at least one month apart. After the initial treatment, patients may experience some swelling, but can usually return to normal activities.

Latisse

Latisse is an FDA-approved treatment for growing longer, fuller, and darker lashes. Patients apply the treatment serum daily to the base of the upper lashes. Then, the serum is spread to the lower lashes through blinking. It increases the length of eyelashes and the number of hairs, so you can get that mascara look naturally.

Some patients see results in 4 weeks, with full results in 16 weeks. Some doctors suggest reducing application to once every 2 days after 3–4 months of use.

Latisse should only be directly applied to the upper lashes. Be careful when applying the serum, as it can encourage hair growth on other skin areas.
