Dr. Kenneth Farr, MD completed his undergraduate degree at Auburn University where he was in the top percentile of his class, graduating with honors. He was then accepted to the University of Alabama School of Medicine where he graduated Cum Laude.
He received the Upjohn Special Merit Award and the William Boyd Medal from the UAB School of Medicine. Simultaneously, he was accepted into the Air Force’s Professional Scholarship Program as a medical officer.
He completed his internship and residency at the Medical University of South Carolina, where he was chief resident and, later, a clinical instructor. Dr. Farr is a board-certified ophthalmologist, with training in dermatology, eyelid, and facial plastic surgery. He is a member of the American Academy of Facial Plastic Reconstructive Surgery (AAFPRS) and the American Society of Laser Medicine and Surgery (ASLMS).
While serving in the Air Force, he worked for the Aerospace Medicine Division, where the President of the United States authorized by executive order to recognize him for his performance of outstanding service. He directed the only Pacific Air Force medical division where medical care was given to federal beneficiaries statewide, including veterans’ affairs and medical outreach in Alaska.
Dr. Farr was awarded the Meritorious Service Medal of Excellence and has been recognized as a Leading Physician in the World in his field.
